Juan Carlos Rodríguez is a Venezuela born pianist, producer and composer. He earned his degree in Film Music Composition from Berklee College of Music. He started his music career in 2000 and has gone on to become the recipient of the 2010, 2013 and 2016 BMI Film & TV Awards for his work on the series "Más sabe el Diablo" and "La Patrona" for NBC's/Telemundo Network as well as 3 time Emmy nominated Hulu’s series “East Los High” already on its 4th season. He was also the 2005 Recipient of the Gold Remi Award for "Best Music Score" at the 38th Houston International Film Festival for the Film "Reflejos".
Juan Carlos has worked with Colombian Superstar Shakira as a Recording Engineer on her Multi-Platinum album "Laundry Service" and for the band "Bacilos" as a keyboard player/arranger on their Double Grammy Award winning album "Caraluna." His music has been featured on Hulu, El Rey Network, Telemundo Network, Univision, NBC Network, Mun2, Universal home Entertainment, Bravo, HBO Comedy, Speed channel, Syfy Channel, Encore Drama, Animal Planet, ID Discovery, CNN and MTV in shows such as East Los High, Matador, Dateline, Late night with Jimmy Fallon, Parks and recreations, NBC WTVJ local News, Noticiero Telemundo WNJU, Al rojo vivo, How to Make it in America, Decisiones, Fact or Faked Paranormal Files, 12 Corazones, POV, Nitido, From Beyond, I Predator, Not forgotten, and many more.
While residing in Los Angeles, California, Juan Carlos Rodríguez has permanently established himself as an instrumental/dramatic composer and songwriter for Film and TV. He recently finished scoring the fourth season of Hulu's top web series "East Los High" and TV series "Matador" for Robert Rodriguez's El Rey Network. Other recent work includes short film "Dead Silence" and the feature film "Betelnut Girls" to be released late in 2016. He’s on board to compose the score for the short “Me, you and gasoline” to be finished in January 2017.
